Using the Lean Transformation Framework on your Lean Journey (Morning Session)

     

Purpose – Why Take this masterclass? 

Learn why Lean shouldn’t be thought about as a program to rollout , a certificate or belt to gain or an even an accreditation process to achieve – which can all lead to transformation failure.   The Lean Transformation Framework was developed (By John Shook) to help people better apply Lean Thinking & Practice to their unique situation. This is done through addressing the questions around the 5 critical dimensions needed to make sure you have a balanced approach and avoid transformation failure! You will Learn that the  LTF approach is fractal and the questions apply to everyone and every level in any organisation.

Process- What will you Learn About?

In this working session we will go through out Teach Poster  and explain the thinking behind each of the  5 critical dimensions to transformational change 

You will discover and capture any  GAP’s you have may have in applying Lean thinking & Practice to your current situation and leave with practical ideas to address them.

Share examples on how other companies have situationally applied LTF to help them with their approach.

How to Develop Effective Problem Solvers (Morning Session)

      

Purpose – Why Take this Masterclass?

Problem Solving is arguably the number 1 Lean skill to develop! Indeed, the first question in the Lean Transformation Framework (LTF) is “What problem are we trying to solve?

However, the problem solving approach you take depends upon  your level in the organisation and the type and size of problem you are trying to solve. Not everything requires an A3 or a deep statistical analysis! 

This Masterclass will give you a better understanding of the 4 Types of Problems and the methods to use, focussing on our 4 Step Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) approach.

RPS is great for those Gap from Standard (Type 2) and Target Condition (Type 3) problems that occur in your daily/weekly performance management system reviews. Offering a structured approach to get to root cause and prevent reoccurrence.

Process – What will you Learn About?

During this interactive session you will learn about the 4 Step RPS method and where it fits in to the Problem Solving Framework by:-

  • Reviewing our RPS Visual Teach Poster, Facilitation Guide & Delegate Workbook (Learning Materials provided to keep & use).
  • Completing an RPS Case Study to confirm your Understanding.
  • Practise summarising the problem on an RPS Quadrant Chart for simple, quick and effective communication.
  • Understanding what a good RPS Quadrant Chart should look like.
  • Having a method to evaluate your own and other members RPS’s to ensure they have robustly followed the process and thinking way to solve the problem.
