Lean Learning Journey – Purpose

The Purpose of our Lean Learning Journey platform is to address the fundamental issue of developing capability to support the introduction and ongoing development of lean thinking and practice for individuals and organisations.

We are putting key subject materials around the Lean Transformation Framework in one place to reduce your non-value added time by providing the right information at the right time and at the right price.

Lean Learning Journey – Process

The Process of our Lean Learning Journey is based around four skill levels:

1. Knowledge.

2. Understanding.

3. Capable.

4. Can Do Well, Teach & Coach Others.

The objective is for you to become self-reliant so that you can share your learning and develop others in your team or organisation and become effective learners for life.

To develop your thinking and practice through each skill level we use a four step guided learning path which follows the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. For each subject we use a Visual Poster where necessary to explain the concepts and develop understanding. Where possible this is combined with a case study or activity to learn by doing.

Lean Learning Journey – People

Developing People Capability is the true intent of our Lean Learning Journey platform. Organisations can use it in conjunction with their existing learning methods and materials or as a standalone reference point. Individuals can plan their own development to fill gaps in capability. Being online it can be self paced to customer needs, available time and learning speed. We offer onsite and/or online coaching and support focussing on skill development rather than just training completion or certification.

The subject matter materials are designed to enable successful delegates to go and teach and coach others. The Visual Posters are supplemented with a facilitation guide covering the “important steps”, “key points” and “reasons why” to ensure a rich and full learning experience.

You can access the learning products in the “Lean Learning Journey” platform from our shop or from the links at the top of the page. We are continuously adding both free and paid content. Plans are in the pipeline to develop core modules on all 5 dimensions of the Lean transformation Framework.
