The third Lean Healthcare Forum began with progress reports from the pioneering NHS Trusts in Bolton and Wirral.

Over 220 delegates including a number from other countries attended the second Lean Healthcare Forum – once again being drawn from NHS Trusts, Health Authorities and improvement agencies.

This First Lean Healthcare Forum in Solihull attracted over 230 delegates from 36 different NHS Hospital Trusts, 20 different Strategic Health Authorities and from a range of primary care trusts, improvement bodies and specialist theraputic areas.

This was the event that took lean into consumption and service delivery, launched Jim Womack andDaniel Jones’ new book Lean Solutions and illustrated how to manage lean transformations in a range of organisations from production to healthcare.

This was the first Lean Initiative from the Lean Enterprise Academy, together with the Lean Management Institutes in Germany and Holland, to spread lean beyond the shop floor.
