This Summit was a landmark event for the lean healthcare movement around the world. The event sold out with 320 people (over half from hospitals) attending from 147 organizations from the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Poland, Switzerland, France, USA, Canada, Brazil, India, South Africa, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

Delegates from eight different countries met at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel to explore why supply chains that took only minutes of value creating time to make a product and only a few days to ship it to consumers were still several months long.

The third Lean Healthcare Forum began with progress reports from the pioneering NHS Trusts in Bolton and Wirral.

Over 220 delegates including a number from other countries attended the second Lean Healthcare Forum – once again being drawn from NHS Trusts, Health Authorities and improvement agencies.

This First Lean Healthcare Forum in Solihull attracted over 230 delegates from 36 different NHS Hospital Trusts, 20 different Strategic Health Authorities and from a range of primary care trusts, improvement bodies and specialist theraputic areas.
